I create and store all user name and password combos for everything I access on the internet through use of this software, even for smart phone apps. I was recently tempted to switch to "One Password", but didn't see much difference, and didn't want to spend the extra time trying to export all of my data. One of the early versions of Data Guardian had a "clickable" button to allow the activation of the chosen URL. That feature was discontinued along the way, and I still miss it. I'd like to have such a feature made available again. I'll give a "5" rating if that is reinstated.

It must be a decade or more that I've ben using DG for financial, computer, and web account information, and all sorts of other personal data. I tend to maintain the database on my Mac, and copy it, as needed, to iPhone and iPad. It's got some cosmetic infelicities, which is why only 4 of 5 stars, but I don't know of any other personal data vault that matches its power and generality.

I've been using DG for some years and find it very useful indeed. I use it to store critical information about my family and business. Things such as user names and passwords, bank account details, credit card numbers and expiry dates, license numbers, passport details, tax file numbers, company registration numbers etc., etc. In a nutshell, anything that is unique to my relationship with another person or organisation. I regularly update the equivalent files on my iPhone and iPad so that I have access to these details at any time.
